25th most expensive city?

Damn land prices, tarnishing our image?

Though the good news is that we are still a bargain... Cheaper than Shanghai, which is not as developed as we are.

But are the high prices justified or just a bubble?

Time will tell...

My call: Bubble (done my research)

Ive never been so angry.

As im driving out of my house, I see brit girls walking over to their friends house obviously on their way to a party...

Thinking how pathetic they were dressing in a muslim country, I think nothing of it and drive on.

Then I come back, a police car is parked out of the house next to us, and Im in shock...

Bastard brit vandals probably drunk out of their minds, decide to bust up the house next to me...

Oh goody.

Im fine with them playing in my neighborhood,,, but after this incident, im never looking at a brit teen in my neighborhood the same way. Boils my blood,,, Boys will be boys, but not with other peoples stuff.

Convince me otherwise?

Here is a list of some of the best cocktails in dxb (to me, at least):

1- cocktail special khfayef @khfayef behind Dhiyafa

2- cocktail special m7ara @ m7ara jmierah (only the Jmeira one!!!)

3- mango juice @ 3antar on alwasl road (down the street from spinneys ummsqiem)

4- spirit of the night* @ e- zone

5- 6abakat @ madinat jumeirah sheesha

in my veins and on my mind

hmmm,,, Ive gotta write an arabic poem,,, just as soon as I find an arabic computer :-p

anyways, I was just talking to some guys and the question posed itself to us: How are we gonna make a business.

There are two ways: easy,,, and hard

easy is pretty simple, open up a legal bar and the profit would be approximately 1200% on the drinks (relative to where it is opened, and other factors)...

The other way takes ages, feasibility reports, weeks of work, disappointments, and hardships.

and Im fine going through the hard way, BUT I know I have to make some hard choices.

Such is life?

Now, time to drown my sorrows in fruit cocktails :-)

Who is she?

This must be the weirdest poem Ive ever written to date,,, (must be the time)

Her face shines with the kindness within

To look upon it is surely a sin

If voices were hands, then surely she touched me

I wonder why all around her people couldnt see

That her worth is a jewelled arrow of lore

Hers alone to aim into the hearts of men who couldnt love her more

Cupid knows that her purity white as snow

So why wont he tell me her name, one that I still dont know

Till I burn...

" Till I burn on the inside"

Black flames engulfed my heart as I thought of her eyes.

I never let my agony out, for she would never hear my cries.

Im just waiting for the darkness to consume me for the sins and lies.

For till I burn on the inside, what I lost is not realized at the time of goodbyes.

just woke up

Its been like 3 days since ive been back to dubai (dar il7ai), and a sad realization rests heavily in the realm of my mind. Since ive been back, ive noticed that the country is changing faster than I thought. With skyscrapers coming up like weeds in the gardens of our city, comes the inevitable corruption (of people) that follows growth like this. I swear to you, abroad I saw people thinking better than some of the people here BUT I am solaced by the knowledge that there are some amazing people behind the curtains here in Dubai.

So if you are one of those people, remember, Im right behind you.
