Till youve lost it... After a trip to Kuwait for a wedding, Im more appreciative of the UAE. Yes, we have lengths to go, but If you think we drive bad, try driving there.
If you think our government has its problems, try talking to Kuwaitis about the govment there.
Thats not to say there arent good points, but talk about culture shock.
Of the people I met, I noticed a major problems in perceptions: liberalism vs traditionalism.
Maybe Kuwaitis could prove me wrong, but their ideas of liberalism are faaar from more western than what is the norm in the ME.
G luck Kuwait, I wish you well.

i'd take uae over kuwait, any day.
the fact that people forget to thank god for what they really have is such a disease these days.
It is not in Kuwait only, I've been to Qatar over the weekend and people drive like crazy, they attitudes, their way of thinking, liberalism and everything is so outrageous. I'm not saying UAE is better, but I seem to be a patriotic somehow when it comes to such matters.
i remember a funny expression a friend of our used to say "il7imdillah I'm Emirati" lol.
nice blog
yeah I've been feeling a bit better about Dubai lately as well... although I do go through spells when I hate it! (I'm sure I'll go through another hating stage when I try and get my ID card!)
Yes...true.
