Working and planning

This post is really one that I can look back on and say,,, wow, what a life.

I hate waking up for work. I want a freer schedule. Instead, I now have to plan my damn weekends.

I miss my hippy lifestyle.

I miss my long hair (Ill assume im losing mine now)

I miss not having to shave.

I miss not giving a damn.

Yesterday, I went to a beach party, in casual clothes according to the invitation.

Its a beach party right?

Well, the invitation was for dinner in the VIP section... The guy pulling up next to me was dressed for a gala night out...

While I was dressed in my sandals...

I now have to think about stuff like that. I now have to lock myself in.

I thought itd never happen :-)

Good day, sun shines!
There have were times of hardship when I didn't know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright pessimistic person.
I have never thought that there weren't any need in big initial investment.
Nowadays, I feel good, I started take up real income.
It's all about how to select a proper partner who utilizes your money in a right way - that is incorporate it in real business, and shares the income with me.

You can ask, if there are such firms? I have to tell the truth, YES, there are. Please be informed of one of them:

@ ABIT: "I will not accept that from my slaves. Im sorry if you dont agree, but any non UAE national has a VISA in their passport in the name of their master. That is the truth."

Im a local. Its ironic that you speak of enslaving others while you yourself are a slave of God. Read the order of allegiance again.

Ah, but I am a slave to GOD ALMIGHTY, Not a slave to another man. The TRUTH is that a foreigner in this country is a SLAVE to the person or entity named on their VISA.

You are free to sugar coat it as you like, but part of the reason that Bahrain changed their VISA system is because it is basically a slave system.

btw. You need to update your blog more often.

Assuming you are talking mainly about worker (expat work) visas.

...

Much like you are bound by a contract paying you in your employers name;

A foreign worker is here for money bound by covenants.

The money is the retaining factor of a worker in this country.

Not a VISA, or whose name its in.

Not your "TRUTH"

Whether you regard a working contract as slavery is another issue.

...

The reference to the order of allegiance is for you to temper your words. You are bound to God, as are we all.

And as Im sure you know, there are long hard discussions about slavery in Islam.

Your play on words isnt appreciated when you generalize especially when bringing locals into the picture.

Yes, our work contracts here are very much modern forms of slavery in many cases.

So yes, my TRUTH still prevails.

As for me being BOOUND to God, that is my CHOICE. I can just as easily state that God doesnt exist and thats the end of it.

A worker here cannot just stop working, our laws are set in such a way that it would be too expensive, and too long, for that to happen.

Yes, and you are a slave as well since you work... Which was my point.

being BOOUND to God, that is my CHOICE. I can just as easily state that God doesnt exist and thats the end of it.

This is a different discussion altogether. Believing in God is your choice, but being his slave isnt, according to what little Ive learnt of islamic theology. By the same measure, denying he is there doesnt mean he doesnt exist...

You can taste the irony considering our original topic.

You're making the mistake of assuming God even does exist in the 1st place. This is the little string that atheists cling to, I cannot PROVE that God exists without an inkling of FAITH. You cant scientifically prove it.

So no, you havent proven anything.

As for me working, I can and have the choice to stop and leave my work and choose to do something else. I am not bound by miles of slaver-making rules and laws.

That is the difference.

Dont have to because this is a discussion between believers...
The point of contention was whether or not you were a slave.

If not: believe what you will.

---

leave my work.

They can leave the country, as noted in the original discussion

YOu do in the real world. Many of these slaves dont believe. You cant close yourself up in a box of belief. The world isnt as rosy as that.

Thanks for your comment, Angie. Have you ever tried joining a critique group? I'm not sure where you're writing from but there are lots of SCBWI critique groups all around the world, and there are lots of online ones, too. Sometimes you can just get too close to something and it's hard to see where to go with it whereas a fresh pair of eyes can come up with something really useful... Good luck, Clare.
Thanks for the post, Kyra, and best of luck with Strength Carrie -- I've been hearing great things about it.
