Brand me

Brand names...

Now as is evident by the shops in Mall of the emirates and other mega-malls, most big brands are here... But what about the niche brands?

Cars like the track-aimed Caterham 7 arent sold here? And What about Krispy Kreme, the donut specialists (Dunkin Donuts is NOT aimed at selling donuts, but rather breakfast and coffee in the US)? How about fashion? Tons of brands not here yet. Note that while phat farm is here, Sean Combs, the arguably better designer, hast opened here yet.

I think we are heading in the right direction though, theyll be here eventually :-)

i do agree about emi mall.. i believe there are alot of brands that need to be here.. but with how dubai is growing.. i see that Dubai is heading to the right direction.. =)
lately a huge number of Dubaians and actually UAEians =P are becoming more materialistic… I guess it is also happening to other people in the world…its not only us.. I mean I might be turning into one my self(maybe).. I mean with how life is in dubai nowadays.. its like u gotta have a well known designers bags and designers clothes and shoes… we are changing without us knowing.. the social life in dubai forces you to be like everyone else..

Even though the brands are here, many of the shops cater to polka-dot/floral tastes, and thank goodness that's the fashion these days.

Whatever happened to understatement? Classic cuts, plain colours, and shirts that don't scream *versace* or *armani* are a rare find here; and they won't be stocked in the new brands that arrive!
