Other things.

This deserved a post of its own.

Education first, marriage second. Simple enough rule because priorities must be set straight on this one. Im not talking about getting educated for the sake of marriage, which is a damning prospect for society as whole.

While not a statistical measure by any means, I had a friend in AUS take a class that was filled with local girls. My friend is a local as well but doesnt look like one so he witnesses an intresting situation in the class which im relating to you in this blog. The teacher asks the local girls in particular why they were studying, and one girl says in no uncertain terms that she was doing it solely to get married. The teacher, taken aback, asks how many shared this opinion... And with the exception of one girl, they all raised their hands.

Now I just related the gist of an intresting social experiment in a university class, but apply that answer to the "real world", (dont you just love that phrase?)

I ask anyone who reads this blog, ALL 3 of you, to pass this message on as best you can.

Education, work, and any other noble deed should be for their own sakes. Not for that hot guy around the corner, not for dad's mercedes: It should be because you can make a difference.

Disagree. U should do whatever you want for whatever reason. Sex is noble and involves 2 people.

Please refrain from replying before reading the post, and thinking about what to say.

Doing "whatever you want for whatever reason" is childish, act your age.

and your reply has NOTHING to do with the post.

Education is wasted if nothing is done with it.

hmm...well..from a girl's point of view..specifically, a girl who's studyin' in WAIT to get hitched, lol...

The degree is more of a 'back up' thing, if you know what I mean. I'm old-fashioned; man does the work outside, woman takes care of his home n kids xD I don't like the whole 'get a fleet of maids/servants, & pamper thyself til thou becomes nothin' but a hot-air balloon.' Unless the guy cant support the family on his own and needs a helpin hand, I believe the woman is better off in the comfort of her home.

Baggin' a guy wit a degree? Ain't my style >.< The guy likes what he sees = perfecto. If not, 3la golat-hm 'there are a lotta fish in the sea' - he can go a-knockin' on someone else's door ^_^

the kinda education we're talking about is just a means to an end - to get a job. i know several university graduates and all they come away with is a pieace of paper and memories of the fun times they had at uni. no one has become a better person through education. they are all as dumb-witted as they were before.

education which is important is that of religion. and after that, that which makes us better people and thinkers.

if the kind of education we are receiving is just a means to an end, then these girls studying to get married is completely justified. it's the men who should stop looking for women who are university graduates, because one way or the other, their wives aren't going to be working after marriage!!

"no one has become a better person through education."

But then

"education which is important is that of religion."

...

So science and religion cant be spoken of in the same sentence?

Careful...

"their wives aren't going to be working after marriage"... My married aunts all work?
