Sprucing Up?

I need to improve on the look of the awareness,.,. The current "all-black" theme is not going down too well,.,.

Anyways, As the topic I chose is sprucing up, I have a solution to the obesity problem here in the UAE... A national initiative that starts at school!

Think about it,,, If kids were given a mandatory 1-hour awarness lesson, be it PE or just something to keep them active, would be extremely beneficial to our students.

Hmmm, But first lets improve on the standards of education first?

(sigh)

If only the minister of education was reading my blog.... Oh the wonders that could be achieved :-)

awareness? kids don't really care much and wont pay attention.

yes it needs to start in schools, and but parnts need the awareness.
also having the school give provide lunch (of course students pay for it) is always a good way to start.
Thats how schools in the states are run..but we shouldn't compare to the states since they have a very big weight problem also.

kids here are not really active in sports, i've noticed. especially girls. :/

I heard that they're planning on extending the school year and shortening the summer holidays because the education is behind the rest of the world. Imagine the children coming to school in August!

If the education minister did read your blog, or anyone else's, I don't think he'd care, hehe :p

If they take PE more seriously and get students to really play sports and MOVE, then the problem will be solved.

If the minister was to read your blog, what would you write?

and the school year next year is going to end sometime in JULY. Hopefully, this won't change anything in the university, I have yet to check.

LOL we already have that obesity awareness stuff in my school for kids. Though not a local school..

Yeah we should start with the quality of education first! Being fit is having a healthy body and a healthy mind. ;)
